Diablo 3 – Reaper of Souls Cinematic Trailer

Oh Diablo 3… what more is there to say?

Despite being a mediocre game, I still find myself going back and playing my witch doctor. The game looks and plays beautifully, while giving you something entertaining (and video game related) to do if you only have an hour or so you want to kill. We all can agree that D3 was not the best game that Blizzard put out there, but it is definitely not deserving of some of the harsh criticisms it’s getting. (For the record I am referring to Diablo for PC only, because Diablo on any other platform is stupid and shouldn’t exist. *cough PS3 cough*)

Just this past weekend during Gamescom an expansion announcement was made, followed by a cinematic that made me wet my pants. Blizzard always brings their A-game when it comes to cinematics, and this one holds true to the tradition.

Even if the gameplay continues to be repetitive, and the stat allocation for gear remains ass-backwards, I will still purchase and play this expansion. You all should too. This expansion is going back to that dark and gothic game we have all grown attached to, not to mention Malthael looks fairly bad ass (and hunky. Sorry… I have a thing for fictional characters).

Keep your fingers crossed in hopes the game doesn’t get any worse post-expansion, and put that trailer on repeat. It’s going to be a long year.
