No Khan? Yawn…
Ok not really. How can one really yawn at J.J. Abrams new take on Star Trek and especially this new movie. One word – Spock – and yes that is foreshadowing. Those of you that have seen the Japanese trailer know what I’m talking about.
Previously we reported that Khan might be in the new Star Trek Into Darkness movie however it’s not Khan at all as we suspected. Instead, Paramount revealed that Benedict Cumberbatch is playing someone named John Harrison – relative of Harrison perhaps?
Now that’s not to say there won’t be any characters from Wrath of Khan at all. We do know that we’ll be introduced to Dr. Carol Marcus, who as you know is the mother of David, Kirk’s son. Just how much of Wrath of Khan’s story will be integrated into Star Trek Into Darkness remains yet to be known but let’s hope that they’ll at least throw in the Genesis device!
We did hear that there’s Klingons finally, and yes they have their forehead ridges (although peirced) combined with the classic facial hair. So not all is lost!
