Melvins Lite Still Heavy

For a band that’s been crushing ear drums and lesser bands for almost 30 years now, L.A.’s Melvins, although slow in sound, are not slowing down. The “lite” version of the lineup is a little closer to the Melvins of yore, featuring King Buzzo (of course), Dale Crover and Trevor Dunn of Mr. Bungle fame. They’ll be touring with fellow old school noise outfit Unsane this Spring and releasing a tour-only split 7″.

And if that’s not enough, Melvins Lite is releasing a full length on Ipecac in June. The album will feature the family friendly title “Freak Puke,” making it perfect for church picnics, children’s birthday parties and psychedelic animal sacrifice rituals.
