5 Questions With DIEMONDS

There’s not a whole lot left to say about Toronto’s hardest rocking and partying band, Diemonds that hasn’t already been said. However, they are a band to keep on the radar especially as momentum keeps hurling their awesome brand of loud, brash, rock n’ roll forward. Just a quick recap of the last year: Diemonds broke ground in India for being the first female fronted act to play in Shillong, (India’s capitol of rock music), they played the prestigious Rocklahoma festival, and have played alongside hero’s like Motley Crue, Slash, Papa Roach, LA Guns and Teenage Head to name a few. But the most exciting news for fans was the Oct. 2 release of brand new album, ‘The Bad Pack‘, their new music video (keep reading to watch!) and  the accompanying tour that will see Diemonds on the road until the end of this month.

In celebration of all of the above, we cracked open a PBR and had the striking front-woman Priya Panda fire off her answers to our ‘5 Questions’. GEEKPR0N: Describe your live show in 140 characters or less:

The live show is super high energy, dirty party rock n’ roll with high kicks, rippin licks that’ll get you chuggin whiskey til the wee hours.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and what would you do with it?

My super power would be the Care Bears stare that would magically pour Jager shots into everyone’s mouths and would get them to loosen up and party down!!! Hahaha

Who would be on the bill of your dream tour; dead, alive or  fictional?

I answer this question a lot, and I can never choose. So I’m gonna say original Skid Row with Sebastian Bach on vox with Judas Priest, KISS and Girlschool this time. Imagine?!

What have you been up to lately, and what can we look forward to coming up from Diemonds?

We just released our new record The Bad Pack on Underground Operations on Oct 2 and we’re totally stoked about it. We spent the summer touring the continent playing badass shows and we’re super lucky to have done some things we’ve always dreamed of! Like playing a huge stages at outdoor festivals and a sold out show at the Whisky A Go-Go in LA. There’s no denying it’s been a fun year, and the party doesn’t stop. It’s always about moving forward. We still have another tour left at the end of October of the east coast of Canada including the Halifax Pop Explosion. Then a Halloween show in Toronto and November 9th we’re playing at Opera House with Hellyeah! After that we’ll be breaking to write new songs and record new tunes! Stay wild!
