2014 TFCON – Interview with Greg Berger (GRIMLOCK) and Cosplay Gallery!

This past weekend I had the chance to go to the 2014 TFCON.  TFCON is always a blast, from seeing so many awesome Transformers and 80’s toys I had as a kid, to seeing some great Transformers costumes, Transformer Artists from the industry selling sketches, to even meeting a few of the voice actors from the various TF shows.

Greg Berger – GRIMLOCK

I had the opportunity to talk to Greg Berger, the voice of G1 Transformer Grimlock, he’s done many other voices over the years, including the latest Transformer Video games that has Grimlock in it. Click here to listen to a sample of his work.

I asked him a few questions including if he’s asked to do voices in public and if he likes doing the voices when not being paid. Greg was a fountain of information, and by talking with him, it was obvious that he has a real passion for doing the voice work, and being such an influential character it has changed his life, and the life of his family. Greg loves the fact that he gets to travel all over the world and meet friends. Hear what Greg thinks on that.

I had to bring up on what his thoughts were for Michael Bay’s version of the Dinobots. I was surprised to here that Greg really loved them. Greg also mentioned that he loves seeing any version of the King in all its forms. I was shocked, since I really didn’t like what Bay did to my favorite Dinobot. Listen to what he thinks on that.

With the success of Transformers: Prime going on I asked Greg if he would want to be on that show reprising Grimlock in another new version. Greg was excited and said he would always be willing to do Grimlock for anything he’s asked for. Hear Greg’s passion for Grimlock
